Graduate Singing Teacher

Carrie recently graduated from Liverpool Hope University studying BA (Hons) Popular Music and Drama and Theatre Studies and began training with VoiceAbility Limited in early September 2008. Through VoiceAbility Carrie offers graduate 1-2-1 private singing lessons on a weekly basis.

Carrie has been performing since the age of 4 across a variety of arts featuring; musical theatre, orchestral/band work, ballet, street dancing, Irish dancing, modern dance, choral/gospel work, song writing and has been involved in various community and youth arts work since the age of 14. Carrie holds ABRSM music examinations on Flute and Alto Saxophone and is self taught on piano and guitar. During university she recorded an album of original songs and performed on the university radio station, ‘Radio Hope’ as well as in numerous plays and music nights at the universities venue, and open mic events in Liverpool.

Carrie gradually developed her singing style since receiving lead roles in an amateur musical theatre company. From here she began working with her voice to develop it to its full potential and began writing original material from the age of 13. Carrie enjoys working with popular genres, rock and indie influences in particular.

Joining VoiceAbility is an exciting time for Carrie as she hopes to develop her skills as a singing teacher in order to help others achieve their full vocal potential. Whilst teaching she will continue writing and recording material as well as developing toward future work within youth and community arts.
