Andrew

Andrew Stephenson

Director/Principal Singing Teacher

Andrew graduated from Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) in 2004 and started teaching whilst on his degree course. Andrew specialised in Vocal Technique whilst at LIPA. Since then Andrew has continued to develop his skills researching international vocal techniques and the biology of the voice. Andrew started teaching from a room in his house and has built up VoiceAbility from this home business. VoiceAbility moved to Old Swan in 2008 and has grown ever since then. Andrew is very proud to boast some of the best teachers in Liverpool in his teaching staff!

Carrie Birmingham

Intermediate Singing Teacher/
The Academy Manager

Carrie completed her Graduate Teacher Training with VoiceAbility in September 2009 and has since completed her teaching Diploma through the London College of Music as well at further training with VoiceAbility to achieve her position as Intermediate Level Singing Teacher. Carrie’s specialist area’s are Pop and Rock Vocals however she also works students studying Musical Theatre. During her time at VoiceAbility Carrie has assisted many students of all ages and abilities with entry to singing exams, auditions and annual shows. The Academy is also managed and assessed by Carrie on a Termly basis.

Tasia

Tasia Hodge

Acting Teacher/

The Academy

Tasia has been performing since the age of 3, training in dance, singing, musical theatre and acting. Although achieving in all areas Tasia's passion lies with acting, in which she has trained under the examinations of LAMDA and continues to study acting at Liverpool John Moores University. Tasia's obvious love for acting and performing shines through into her work as a Voiceability teacher, using it to inspire and to develop her students abilities.

Beckie

Beckie Graduated in 2009 from Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts London in Professional Musical Theatre. During this time she furthered her passion for singing, acting and dance. She has taken part in numerous shows in London and since her return to Liverpool played the character of Laura in The Glass Menagerie by Tennesse Williams. Beckie is currently working towards her diploma in teaching with VoiceAbility.
She feels privileged to have found a school such as VoiceAbility in her hometown of Liverpool and looks forward to teaching here in September.
